Drop Roundup
Puttwell Spring ‘25
Puttwell’s Spring ‘25 collection has landed after a couple of teasers, and this might be their most complete and ranged collection yet, with stellar styles in every silhouette. The polos come in many different colors and patterns, with the course topo and all-over pink, blue, and beige animal print contrasting nicely with the all over beige and white striped course polos. The t-shirts are as beautifully minimalist as ever, a Puttwell trait, which allows their beautifully coloring and construction to shine alongside the iconic logos, featuring my favorite, Know Your Roll. With some longsleeves as well, including a deep red quarter zip and a mock neck, I still have to say how much respect I have for Puttwell releasing this collection with shorts, but no pants. They know what’s good. Rounding out this insanely comprehensive collection, which is chock full of colors and styles I haven’t even mentioned, are a plentiful batch of hats; beige, yellow, green, blue, black, even a turquoise one some styled more towards performance than others, all featuring another one of Puttwell’s fantastic scripts and designs.
Nobody walks that line of streetwear and golfwear as consistently and as originally as Puttwell, and it has brought to me some of my favorite designs of all time. I still remember going to buy the Patchwork at the Hypegolf Clubhouse 3 years ago. I am elated to see that not only has the brand come back since then, but has done so stronger, more creatively, and of a higher quality than ever before.
Oahu Golf Apparel Mayjah Savings
Although it is not all explicitly “new”, the legends of the game over at Oahu Golf Apparel have been running their “Mayjah Savings” event since, well May, and some of their best ever designs are included here. I can vouch for the quality firsthand, as I have had a polo and hat from them for years and both are still looking brand new, even with their light pink design. Their designs are vibrant and eye catching, which I personally love, and they have many different styles to choose from reflecting the beautiful animals, places, and people of Hawaii.
You can ship the styles in this savings event right here.
Louis Vuitton Pocket Organizer
From a new sports inspired summer line at Louis Vuitton is the beautiful green card holder that becomes almost like a living art piece, the drawings and shadows of the golfers mixing with the monogram print and supple raised leather. The front uses shadows and shading to show the contours of the green, with the three golfers triangulating around the flag, while the backside shows a serene scene of a golf cart driving amongst the palm trees. Almost impossible to find right now, you can view the item here, just good luck actually getting one.

Greyson “Stalk” Collection
This collection mashes the high quality knit of Greyson Clothiers with the vibes of a 2000’s graphic t-shirt, and I have to say, it’s one of the cooler luxury polos I’ve seen in recent memory. This is a head turner for sure, so make sure you can back up any snide comments with either a good golf shot or a snider comment in return. This awesome print released not just in a polo, but in a hoodie as well, helping visually forge that connection between what Greyson polos represent in their cuts and their materials.

Fairway Golf Group SS 25’
Fairway Golf Group rang in the season with a pack that offers versatility mixed with modern performance. The polos bring an air of refinement to the patterning, leaving open space for the eyes to wander before getting caught by the design, while the shorts come in two strikingly different styles, one an all over black and one a beige with logos all over. The collection is rounded out with a clean white dress with green on the liners, similar to the polo, and a very cool white to green reversible bucket hat. Fresh on my radar, Fairway Golf Group is definitely one to watch in this space.

Although we are still in the very early stages of this drop, I couldn’t neglect the fact that Eastside Golf has announced on Instagram their upcoming Summer ‘25 drop, and the logos and colors used promise it to be a fun celebration of the season and it’s outdoorsy, warm and welcoming vibes. With a lot more experimenting with patterns and different silhouettes as of recent, I am excited to see what Eastside has in store for us, especially given how reflective and colorful their spring drop was. Expect more details to come soon.

Nike Kobe 9 High “What The”
In the hierarchy of legendary Kobe’s these have got to be an objective top ten for anyone, but for me, they are a top 3. These shoes didn’t just experiment with their shape, but bringing the “What The” colorway into the fold allows the designers to create patterns and styles that would not be able to happen on any other shoe. Re-releasing for the first time, it was made sure to be done in good taste, as a celebration of not just the top-tier makeup of the shoe, and the design of the print, but also the life and legacy of Kobe Bryant. These shoes release tomorrow on SNKRS and other retailers.

Jordan Cement 4’s
What is hailed as potentially the best Jordan 4 colorway in the world is making its comeback this week, as the Jordan 4 “Cement” is getting its first re-release in almost a decade. The white to spackled grey print isn’t just eye pleasing, but allows the shoes to appear sleeker than other more bolder colorways, and makes them more versatile. This is probably the pair of fours that can be dressed up or down the most other than any other shoe. Also, don’t forget that these were “golfified” a little over a year ago, so they have a special place in my heart. These release on Friday at Nike and many other retailers.

The Tour Stop
Although I was pulling for Jhonattan Vegas to come out on top, shoutout to Scottie “Walk em Down” Scheffler for the win, and to Nike as well for their stellar brand post celebrating his victory, as well as his incident at last year’s PGA Championship.
With just a sly two sentence caption overlaid on a classic Scottie finish, Nike didn’t just celebrate their athlete, but the culture surrounding him and the game he plays. As they continue to ramp up their marketing and products, their recent more brazen attitude harkens back to the previous days of Nike Golf, ones that are dearly missed, and ones that are hopefully back on the horizon.

Oakley Observations
Although I don’t like Jaylen Brown, there are two other things he’s a part of that I do like a lot; vacations in Cancun, and the new Oakley Plantaris colorway. Part of the “Seek” collection, it uses an all over white on the body that contrast nicely with the greyed nose piece and logos, and the hazy purple lenses. The Plantaris takes the vintage bug eyed style of the Eye Jacket and ups its curvature while reducing the circular parts to be more streamlined. This more active-style silhouette is bolstered by the large ventilated nose guard, which is removable, and the ergonomically curved stems. This differs from the more rounded lenses and straighter stems that the Eye Jacket has, although they are very similar from the head on, and the Eye Jacket was also released in a “Seek” colorway a few months ago. Also, those forked stems on the Plantaris are awesome. On a sunny, cold and windy day, I could see the Plantaris’ lightweight makeup and angular shapes make for a stylish and effective way to beat the elements better than some larger, more traditional Oakleys.

Weekly Advisors
Man oh man do I have a good tip for you today. Especially for all you Panther fans out there.
The Florida Panthers beat the Toronto Maples Leafs 6-1 in game 5 of the quarterfinals. They proceeded to lose game 6 at home 0-2, going scoreless and being forced into a game 7 away in Canada. With their backs against the glass wall, not only did they refuse to falter, but they stormed to a resounding 6-1 win, fueling their momentum into the next series.
If you’re +1 through 5 holes and then make a triple bogey on hole 6, many players would easily crumble not because of pressure outside, but in their own mind, manipulating their swing and their confidence with devious thoughts. Golfers who take out their anger on themselves, internally or externally, or their clubs, or God forbid the golf course (karma is real, believe me), need to learn how to refocus those feelings into becoming the ultimate birdie making machine by the time you get to the tee box of hole 7. It is an impossibility to play well in the present if you let any part of the past affect what can happen in the future. Just like the Panthers didn’t care about their scoreless loss, like it didn’t even happen, they went straight back to scoring and dominating like they should. The age old adage of don’t let one bad hole ruin a whole round, don’t let one bad hour ruin a whole day, takes many forms, and continues to be one of the hardest parts for amateurs to succeed in in the sport of golf.
