The Tour Stop
What better day than today to shoutout Ben Griffin for getting his second PGA Tour win since unretiring from professional golf, spending four years as a loan mortgage salesman before making his triumphant return. He got the win with a MaxFli ball as well, which makes this only more impressive. Much luck Ben, you’re doing it for the Weekender in all of us.
Brooklyn CC Mental Health Walk
This Saturday, Brooklyn Country Club is holding a mental health awareness walk at 10 AM right across the Brooklyn Bridge, which is an amazing way to use your platform to promote positivity beyond the sport of golf. It’s something I commend and am inspired by, and rain or shine I hope to see a lot of people out there. I wish I could make it myself, but I hope to be at the next one no matter what!

Curated Drops

Malbon
Neighborhood Collection
The second collaboration with Japanese streetwear brand Neighborhood, this drop brings the street ready style and materials that comprise clothes from both companies and infuse it with the tailored utility needed for a round on the golf course. The vest, bucket hat, and bag are standouts here, while the ball marker carries a great design as well.

Performance Collection
The Malbon Performance material might be my favorite polo cloth in the game right now, and it goes perfectly with the cuts and performance driven style of the aptly named Performance Collection. This week saw it release in a brand light green color that accentuates the deeper spring tones nicely.

Mare Mockneck
Malbon has been making a lot of amazing mock necks recently, most of them worn by Jason Day in competition, and one of the more flower, baggier styles we’ve seen as of late is finally coming to the masses. The Mare Mockneck is easily the breeziest mock shirt Malbon has released in a while, and with a cotton makeup rather than the usual performance material, it leads itself to a different facet of the game entirely.

Sun Day Red
Tiger’s brand has released their second shoe option, the Pioneer Magnolia, in a brand new colorway, and while I don’t think anything will ever touch the Weekenders Weekly I mean Master’s colorway they did back in April, these two new options are really slick. Paying homage to the golf shoes of old with their colorblocking, they still hide the thousands of hours of R&D that make Sun Day Red shoes some of the best performing in golf.

Vice Vintage Club
Vice Vintage Club is not just a place to find exclusive, hard to procure vintage golf clothing, but a place to celebrate those clothes and what they represent in and outside the sport. Working across the U.S., the Vice Vintage team has handpicked a selection of 30 items, a mix of polos, hats, and accessories, to be included in the first Batch of items. The clothes will go live on various sites across in the internet as well as direct buying and selling through the Vice Vintage Club Instagram. There are some elite pieces in this batch, make sure to stay tuned for the first releases later today.
