Come duke it out in an 18 hole, two man scramble under the Miami sun!

Battle for the Crest Cup registration is now live!

The Battle for the Crest Cup is the inaugural Weekenders Weekly tournament held at Palmetto Golf Course on Saturday December 21, 2024. The tournament is scramble style, 18 holes, no strokes given. Play your best, and choose your teammate wisely!

Make sure to register either just for yourself or the double package for you and your playing partner! If you don’t have a teammate just yet, reach out to me at [email protected] or DM me on Instagram, we’ll get you sorted. Players are free to sign up with a playing partner already or by themselves. When you register, please put an estimated handicap. If you have no idea what your handicap is or what a handicap is in general, please put 30+.

There will be no strokes given in this tournament. Instead, players will play from different tee boxes depending on their skill level. There are three divisions:

30+ handicap- front tees

29-15- middle tees

>15- back tees

Make sure to get to the course early, we have a lot going on! 1 bucket of range balls will be provided for each player, as will a box of brand new Callaway Supersofts! Try not to lose them all! There will be a rolling catered lunch by Sports Grille, and for players 21+, you will also get a ticket for one drink. Make sure to be at the Pavilion by 11:45 for the reception, as the first golfers go out at 12:30!

We have a lot of prizes in store! The winning team will get $1000 cash to split between themselves! We also have gift cards to the local and beloved golf store Planet Golf, Malbon Golf, some nice new Jordan’s, and more! Make sure to come dressed well, we have prizes for best kicks and best outfit, as well as giveaways happening throughout the day. Play well!

I want to thank my sponsors again, Cayeya Tequila, Cafecito Golf Club, and Planet Golf. You guys played a huge role in helping me to set up everything in the way I wanted, I really appreciate it!

This event has been created to give friends of Weekenders Weekly the chance to compete for prizes while supporting a local course, coming together to celebrate Miami Golf, and look good while doing it! I’ve tried hard to make sure this event gets you a lot of bang for your buck, and my sponsors have really helped me provide some awesome experiences for you all! I really hope to see you all there! Will you win the Crest Cup??!!

Tournament rules:

There will be one optional breakfast ball allowed per player on the first hole and that is it. No other mulligans are available after the first hole.

All USGA, local, and posted rules as seen on the Palmetto Golf Course scorecard and signage are in effect. This includes rules regarding out of bounds stakes, yards, water hazards, etc.

If a ball comes to rest on the cart path, on a root, on a rock, or some unhittable object or surface, it can be moved to the nearest grass, dirt, or other hittable surface, no closer to the hole.

All penalties regarding drops in water and out of bounds are in play as presented in the USGA, local, and posted rules.

A putt can only be considered “good” if it is signaled by one team to the other. A player cannot decide for themselves or their teammate if a putt is given or not. If a player picks up a ball that is not “given”, 2 strokes are added to the final score.

There will be a zero tolerance policy on collusion. If a team is confirmed to be cheating, they will be disqualified with no refund to their entry fee.

Please keep pace of play to a solid, not rushed, pace.

Balls in bushes are regarded as OB, even if they are within reach. This is being done to ensure scores are as accurate and as close as possible. The same is said for balls in the water that are fishable. You must take the stroke penalty. Remember, it is a scramble, so for this to happen, both balls must enter the hazard.

You will record the score for yourself and for your teammates. This is done to ensure that the scores are accurate and fair. Please keep score on the Palmetto GC scorecard provided. Feel free to use the Grint, 18birdies, etc. alongside.

All rangefinders, yardage readers, and similar objects are allowed.

All of the Rules of Golf apply except when specified differently by a local or tournament rule.

Look good and play good!
