Bag Boy Duffel Bag
The Bag Boy Duffel Bag is as perfect for a golfer as you’d expect from a brand that has been making golf bags for about one hundred years. It’s collapsible yet strong material allows for it to withstand rides in the car, plane, even golf cart, while remaining light for maximum packing space. Big enough for multiple, internal pockets for your items, and even a shoe pocket, it elevates the golfing experience quickly. Perfect for when you bring gym clothes and clothes for after the gym, or for those 9 before 9 type of days. A great mix of form and function, for at the golf course and off, or both on the same day. Not only is it already 50% off, sitting at $20 online, but go ahead and get it for 60% off by using the code WW10 at checkout. An absolute steal, for real. Buy it here.

G7 Classic
The G7 Classic is more than just a day of summer golf, local vendors, professional athletes, and lots of food, drinks, and fun. It does even more than provide this experience for those not golfing, allowing people to come out and have a great time not just watching the players, but hanging alongside them at beautiful TPC Piper Glen. Beyond all that, it furthers the G7 mission of using pillars like faith and sport to support and guide the youth, giving them opportunities to learn and grow beyond what they get in school or, in some cases, at home. It is a noble mission, and one that I commend G7 and QB Will Grier for embarking on. As I always say, any type of in person event, especially in golf, is how real connection and change is made, so I can’t wait to be there this June 16th. For anyone else interested in coming, make sure to check out the website here.
Artistry in my Adidas
Maurice Allen is an otherworldly driver of the ball, an elite all around golfer, and an even better human being, but one of the least talked about aspects of his career is his unbelievable sneaker collection. Not only does he have a plethora of rare and coveted kicks, but the sheer number of custom sneakers he owns is wild; in his words, he won’t play in it if it’s not custom. Coming later this week is his new series Artistry in my Adidas, where he takes the time not just to show off the shoes and their amazing designs, but the stories behind them, what they stand for, and even cooler, who designed them. I’m very lucky that I was able to interview two artists behind the bulk of his shoes, and both of their skill sets, creative process, and eventual results blew me away. I started cooking up so many ideas while interviewing them I had to remember to stay on track. Just wait till you see what Maurice has in store, it’ll blow you away, and in the meantime, check out my friends Loida and Alex on Instagram.

A sneak peek
Drop Roundup
With so many insane drops last week (and with the next week going to be even crazier) WW has put together a cheat sheet for you to stay informed, up to date, and dripper than everyone else. Check it out here.
Oakley Observations
Oakley has released a new model for golf, the Sphaera Prime, combining the large Sphraera lens with the angular cuts and fitting that some smaller silhouettes have. With the lightweight yet wraparound frame, I feel like this would be a great pair to have for a windy, rainy day, with the larger lenses having that unique cut on the side and top to help with wind and temp control. Enjoy below, the completely custom Weekenders Weekly pair. If you ever see me rocking these, then you will know I’ve made it.

Course of the Week
Although it was divisive then, and is even more divisive now, I am still going to give the course of the week to the objectively legendary Blue Monster course at Trump Doral, host site to the LIV Miami event this weekend. I’ve had the pleasure of playing this course a handful of times, and I always admire the beauty of the design and the elite level of care the maintenance team has for it. That being said, I have routinely gotten my ass kicked there, every single time. Everything there is meticulous, some of the cleanest cut cups and perfectly edged bunkers I’ve seen in Florida, which is very hard given that it is usually either blazing hot or pouring rain. But, even more meticulous are the golf shots you must produce, with room for error in the form of OB and water on every side, long par 3’s and winding par 5’s.
Although the design team likes to toy with the golfer, the day to day of the course is a testament to the grounds team, and they somehow take it up another notch for LIV. I have played there before LIV even existed and mere weeks before the LIV Finals Miami. That was just stupid of me; I had never seen rough that high anywhere in my life. Combine that with the ludicrous sloping of the bunkers and the way the wind whips around, and the green speed, and the water on every hole, it was not a long round, but I felt every single shot by the time I was done. A golf course about as treacherous as.. well, you can fill in the rest with whatever you like. There’s a lot of options.
Brand of the Week
Happy Whackers Golf is an up and coming Miami brand that is true to it’s name and it’s roots in every step of the way, from the design, marketing, material, and most importantly, the vision it’s owners see for it. Two football players turned golfers working at Trump National Doral dreamt up the idea during long empty days spent under the blazing South Florida sun. Sketching out logos and designs on napkins, they spent months earning, saving, and turning their dreams into action, culminating in the launch of HWG to a rousing success.
I’ve known Meek for a few years, and when I saw him a few months back he told me about his idea for Happy Whackers, right around the start of Weekenders Weekly coincidentally. I told him immediately we would have to sit down and talk about the brand. After only two months out from the official launch, Meek and co-founder Adrian sat down with me for an inspiring and hilarious (and 18+) interview about the origins of the brand, the vision for the future, who and what it represents, all the while slowly revealing bits and pieces of their insane upcoming collections. They are on a great path and I cannot wait for you guys to see what they have in store next!
Make sure to check out the interview with Meek and Adrian on the Brand of the Week podcast right here when it goes live at 3:30 PM!
Sneak of the Week
Finally, after another year of waiting, we are on the cusp of returning to Augusta National, and with that always come some of the coolest apparel in the game. Although there were some disappointments, like Under Armour just putting some green and yellow accents on an all-white shoe, Nike has come in with an entire collection to help ring in everyone’s favorite golf season. Releasing in a Nike Zoom Infinity Tour 2, a sick Air Max Plus, and that unbelievable new Zoom Tour 4, these shoes bring a unique pop of pink instead of the usual slap-on of Master’s colors (Under Armour) that we see a lot of. I hope we get these in an Air Max 97 or even an AJ1 low. They also are making gloves, bags, and shirts with this same print. Nike knows how to stay unique and stand out even in this saturated space, proving that they are primed for the new direction of golf and are just beginning to really shake things up. Check out images below.
